Tahini Avocado Dressing is the perfect way to add pizazz to a boring salad, add a little zest to a chicken wrap or even to give some flare to tempeh. This dressing is a burst of citrus with a creamy avocado finish, and best of all it is so easy to make!
Tahini is Dreamy
We all know you need tahini to make humus, but what is tahini? Tahini is a condiment made from toasted ground sesame seeds. It’s tan in color and usually located near the nut butters at your local grocery store. It’s used in many Mediterranean, Middle Easter, African and even some Asian recipes.
Besides being popular in many cultures, it also has many health benefits, such as:
- It’s a great source of essential vitamins and minerals, such as B vitamins, magnesium, iron and zinc.
- It helps regulate blood pressure and cholesterol.
- Tahini can help balance hormones, especially in menopausal women.

A Dressing Up!
With all the potential health benefits from out two main ingredients, is there any reason not to make this Tahini Avocado Dressing? It is incredibly easy to make and it’s delicious. You simply add all of the ingredients to your blender or food processor and blend until smooth and creamy.
Tahini Avocado Dressing
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Tahini
- 1/2 small Avocado
- 1/2 cup cilantro
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 whole lime juiced
- 1/2 of a lemon juiced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp Green Dragon or another green hot sauce **Optional
Instructions
- Add all ingredients into a blender and blend until creamy.
- Add a bit more water if it is too think, blend until incorporated.
- Taste dressing and add more salt if needed.
- Enjoy on salads, wraps, or with plain veggies!
- **Store in an airtight container, in the fridge, for three to four days.
